It’s not a surprise that my favorite photos involve some of Andrew’s favorite things. That’s what documentary photography is all about to me. As I capture real, authentic, everyday life it naturally documents routines, details, personality, and relationships. I notice something special happening and then run to grab my camera, hoping I can fire off some shots before the moment is lost. This month I captured his love of singing anywhere (but especially where there is a microphone-like object), eating sunbutter, playing Octonauts, and pretending anything face-sized with a hole in it is a mask. You can also see Keith’s love of playing guitar and Mimi’s (my mother-in-law) willingness to be a good sport and play by a two year old’s rules. All in all it’s a good representation of our month. Well, mostly. We also went on vacation, but I’m going to put a few vacation faves in a separate post.
